Optimization (SSTO)
The Optimization (SSTO) expander displays a list of the following expanders from which you can configure Start/Stop Time Optimization (SSTO) for a zone:
- General. Specify the information necessary for start and stop optimization, and heating operation calculations. The values or points provided in the Temperatures, Heating Setpoints, and Cooling Setpoints sections are used by SSTO in calculations to determine optimal start and stop times for heating and cooling. To complete the General expander, you must:
- specify the type(s) of optimization you want to implement on the zone.
- define the allowed and desired operations (heating only, cooling only, heating and cooling, none).
- specify a point name or value for the outside and zone temperatures.
- define the heating and cooling setpoints during occupancy and vacancy.
- Start. Specify start optimization parameters for heating and cooling. To complete the Start expander, you must:
- identify the mode the zone must be in to start heating and cooling.
- select the actions SSTO takes if the heating or cooling setpoints are reached too early or late.
- select the algorithm SSTO uses to calculate start optimization.
- enable or disable learning.
- Stop. Specify stop optimization parameters for heating and cooling. To complete the Stop section, you must:
- identify the mode the zone must be in to stop heating and cooling.
- define the maximum stop duration, calculation constant, and tolerated deviation.
- enable or disable learning.
- Night. Set the heating and cooling modes and the allowed temperature differential for night operation.
