Troubleshooting the OPC Core Component

Solution

OPC DA server fails to expose data points to third-party OPC clients.

The OPC Core Components Redistributable package may not have been correctly installed on computers where old versions of the same component were already present.

• Click the Windows Start button. Then select Control Panel > Programs and Feature.
• Select OPC Core Components Redistributable and click Repair.

OPC client fails to connect to third-party OPC servers.
