Duplicating an SNMP Device Configuration

Scenario: You previously configured SNMP monitoring of a device or property, and you want to make a copy of that configuration to reuse it for another device/property of the same type.

  • System Manager is in Engineering mode.
  1. In System Browser, select Management View.
  1. Select Project > Field Networks > [SNMP network] > [SNMP device] or [SNMP property].
  • The System Management tab displays.
  1. Click Save As .
  1. In the Save Object As dialog box,
    a. Select the destination folder (Field Networks > [SNMP network]).
    b. Enter a name and description.
    c. Click OK.
  • The new fully-configured SNMP device (or property) is available in System Browser.
