M-Bus Integration
The M-Bus adapter allows Desigo CC to integrate energy, water, and heat metering devices that use the M-Bus protocol. It can be installed on a remote computer different from the Desigo CC server.
The adapter is not part of the Desigo CC installation. After installation, the adapter installer package (MSI) is available in [Installation Drive]:\[Company Name]\[Brand Name]\GMSMainProject\AddSW\M-Bus. Once you install this extension, the adapter is ready to be executed and used in Desigo CC. For instructions, see Installing and Starting the M-Bus Adapter.
To integrate the M-Bus adapter, a SORIS driver and a SORIS network (monitored by one SORIS driver) must be created and configured. For instructions, see Integrating M-Bus.
Once the adapter object is created, you must start the adapter manually:
- Using the http protocol (unsecure): double-click the batch file Install_AdapterAsService_HTTP.bat available in the installation folder.
- Using the https protocol (secure): enter –secure:[thumbprint] in the batch file Install_AdapterAsService_HTTPS.bat available in the installation folder, save, close, and double-click the updated HTTPS batch file.
For each adapter created, it is necessary to configure the URL IP address of the computer from which the network adapter is run. For instructions, see Integrating M-Bus.
Library
The M-Bus extension installs the Desigo CC library EnergyAndPower_Device_MBus_HQ_1, which is available at Project > System Settings > Libraries > L1-Headquarter > Energy And Power > Device.
Dependencies
The M-Bus extension is configured to depend on the following extension, which will be automatically added, if it is not already installed in the system, when the M-Bus installation feature is selected:
- SORIS Driver (see SORIS)
