Scenario: You want other computers on the network to be able to operate as anonymous Desigo CC web clients or Windows app clients--that is, without identifying themselves to the Desigo CC server with a host certificate.
Select Project>Management System > Clients > Default Web Client.
The System Management tab displays. There is no Host name. The Type field is set automatically. The Control station and Closed mode check-boxes are read-only.
(Optional) In the Notes field, enter any additional information.
Click Save .
In the Extended Operation tab, the Operational Status property indicates Enabled. This means that logging onto Desigo CC from anonymous web clients or Windows app clients is allowed.
For security, the scope and application rights of anonymous web stations should be limited. Do this as follows:
Set up a station group for anonymous web clients, if one does not already exist, and define limited scope and application rights for that group. Also, add the Default Web Client to that group. See New Station Group for Anonymous Web Clients.
From the computer that you plan to use as a web client or Windows app client, do the following:
The first time you log onto Desigo CC from that computer, you must install the authentication certificate on it. See Browse a Website or Web Application URL in Setting up the Windows App Client.
