Creating and Configuring IP Phone Cisco (CP - 6921)
Scenario: You want to configure IP Phone Cisco (CP - 6921).

Prerequisites:
- IP Phone Cisco (CP - 6921) is installed and configured.
Steps:
1 – Sign-in IP Phone Cisco (CP - 6921)
- Press the Settings button > 4 Admin Settings.
- Enter the password and press Sign-in. The default password is cisco.
2 – Configure Network Setup
- Select 1 Network Setup >1 IPv4 Setup.
- Scroll to 1 Network Setup > 7 TFTP Server1 and edit this field to match the server IP address.
NOTE: To type a dot, press the * key.
- Press Validate.
- A confirmation message displays.
- Press Save.
- Press Continue.
- A Trust List is installed on this phone.
3 – Reboot IP Phone Cisco (CP - 6921)
- Ensure that TFTP Server is running on the Notification Server and that the Server interface IP address is set correctly. Reboot the phone by disconnecting and reconnecting the phone’s Power over Ethernet (PoE) network cable.
- During the phone reboot, if a message Phone not registered displays on the phone display, check the config transfer from the TFTP log in the Log Viewer tab for the errors.
- Once the reboot is complete, the Cisco CP-6921 IP phone displays the extension. For example, 10050.
- Restart the FreeSwitch Application user interface and verify that the programmed extension is registered with the FreeSwitch.
4 – Verify IP Phone Cisco (CP - 6921)
- Perform the following steps to verify if the green dot appears next to the extension used by the IP phone.
- Open the Telephony Configuration Tool.
NOTE: The Telephony Configuration Tool is installed with Notification.
- Verify that the green dot appears next to the extension used by the IP phone. This green dot signifies that the device is properly connected and registered with Notification‘s integrated PBX, FreeSwitch. - Perform the following steps to configure one IP phone with an extension different from the extension of the Cisco CP-6921 IP phone.
- Configure the IP phone with extension 10010. The Cisco CP-6921 IP phone is configured with extension 10050.
- Use the IP phone with extension 10010 to call the Cisco CP-6921 IP phone with extension 10050.
- Verify that the audio and the microphone are working properly on each end.
